Internet Security
Todays blog is on internet security. You are probably think how does this relate to Switchfoot in any way? It may not relate to them entirely but it is important. Internet security applies to everyone including the members of Switchfoot. Internet security is something that not many are aware of and is something that affects everyone who uses the internet daily. Internet security can be good and bad. this is because there are some measures that keep you safe but there are also features that are used for things that are not as nice.
The one good thing that comes out of internet security is that there are measures to protect your data and information. While it is good that information can be protect, but there are still ways for others to get your information.
One way is sites that you use like Facebook for example could sell information on you to another company and then you potentially could start to see ads to things you recently looked at while on their site or other sites. Facebook is a good example of this because after searching for a certain item or product you will most likely see an ad for that product or something similar. This can be scary but not all sites do sell information and data to other companies. Another way you information and data could be taken is done by hacking. Hacking is fairly easy to do now days because of people being connected to wife. I am not saying that getting on wifi guarantees that you will get hacked but it is more likely to happen over wifi. After letting you know of the risks of using wifi, I know that I will probably still use wifi and you probably will too. Not only can hacking happen on wifi but while you are on the internet so we all just won't stop using the internet but now you are at least informed on the dangers of hacking.
I hope that this post helps everyone be more aware of what could happen when you are on the internet and perhaps the only way to avoid having information or other stuff sold or taken is get off the grid!
